Short Description
The objective of the Pavilion was to create a temporary structure that would host a dinner party of 15 people, and present an original food and drink within its’ architecture. My group was assigned the skewer, as our food presentation mechanism, and incorporated meat skewers into the structure by hanging the skewers off horizontal dowels. These dowels further reinforced the idea of skewering by literally skewering the main structural vertical elements of the pavilion. Patches of red and orange cloth then acted to play a seasonal hide/reveal between the exterior and interior of the pavilion, these patches also corresponded with the placement of candles to create and warm and ephemeral glow from within the structure.
