Casey Neistat a film maker, producer, vlogger and a youtube celebrity that was born in Gales Ferry, Connecticut on March 25, 1981. Casey is also the a co-founder of the multimedia company called Beme.

Personal Life and Education[edit | edit source]
Casey was born on March 25, 1981 in the state of Connecticut. As a student Casey wasn’t a very good. He would always get in trouble and spent a lot of time in the principal's office. After his parents got divorced he put most of the blame on his mother. Eventually this led to a fight between him and his mom and Casey ended up running away from home and staying with his 2 friends. one of those 2 friends would become his girl friend her name was Robin Harris. Caseys Girl friend eventually got pregnant when Casey was 17 years. This caused Casey to drop out of high school and get a job at a seafood restaurant washing dishes. Casey would never return to school and never graduated.

Filmmaking Career[edit | edit source]
Casey started making short films of him and his son on vacation after him and his girlfriend broke up. It was around the time that the new iMac computer was released and he completely maxed out his credit card and bought one to pursue a career in filmmaking. In 2010 alongside his brother Van Neistat they created a show called “The Neistat Brothers”. The show consisted of different experiments in the New York City area. Notable episode such as “The iPod's Dirty Secret” “Bike Thief” and “Bike Lane” were all episodes on the show. The show was bought by HBO in 2008 and the first episode aired on HBO on, June 4, 2010.

Casey created his youtube channel on February 15, 2010. There he started uploading his short films and got fame from all the films he uploaded to his Channel including one calling out the NYPD after they gave him a ticket for not riding in the bike lane. Since March 25, 2015 Casey sticks to just daily vlogging. To this day Casey has over 10 million Subscribers and 2.8 billion total views. He also has a second channel which he rarely uploads to.
