Just a quick note - The idea of using moo muds is to compliment wikiversity, not replace it. The MOO is intended as a practical laboratory where students can blow things up (if they want) without damanging wikiversity. MOO does not require separate hardware as a sandbox does, and many MOOs can run independently (say for each school) on the wikiversity computer. Students connect to the MOO lab., wikiversity, and irc simultaneously, solving the communications and technology issues raised in the article. MOO already supports programming and customising the environment, whereas a wikiversity sandbox requires extensive modifications to support programming. PeterMG 14:59, 26 July 2007 (UTC)]Reply

"MOOs can run independently on the wikiversity computer" <-- It is not clear that the Wikimedia Foundation developers would be interested in running MOO software on the server array. It seems more like this would be a good use for the proposed sandbox server. --JWSchmidt 16:10, 26 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
